The Alfred Family Foundation has committed to a joint venture partnership with Food For The Poor to combat rampant hunger and homelessness throughout the Caribbean, Australia, Africa and Latin America. This is a large consideration of our global initiative and is very important to our foundation. Severe hunger and full-spectrum homelessness are global problems and we join Food For The Poor in dealing with hunger and homelessness across our planet. Sharing our mutual direct access to resources, technology, and secured contracts with various governmental agencies that have encouraged the need for such projects will be central to our success.

“Nobody comes out here. No one can help.”

Partnering to Heed the Cry of the Poor: Food For The Poor

The Alfred Family Foundation (TAFF) was established to fight CANCER! The Alfred Family Foundation exists to deliver a focused, coordinated medical mission based in South Florida primarily serving the Caribbean basin Australia, Africa and Latin America utilizing partnerships with hospitals and universities: directly funding medical service provision, scholarship, health awareness and publiceducation programs. Humanitarian deployment of food, medical, and other resources and services through an innovative new Caribbean focused Air Ambulance and Charter flight service.

Addressing the metaphorical cancer of poverty as manifest in hunger and homelessness is one of The Alfred Family Foundation’s highest priorities. To that end, The Alfred Family Foundation is strategically partnering with Food For The Poor to combat poverty in our primary region of focus: the Caribbean basin. Since its founding 30 years ago, Food For The Poor (FFP) has grown to become the largest international relief and development organization in the United States by distributing approximately $9 billion in aid to the poor. This includes the distribution of 59,610 containers of aid and the building of more than 77,417 housing units for people desperately in need of adequate shelter, and completed more than 1,360 water projects that provide lifesaving water and sanitation to hundreds of thousands of villagers in need.

Working together, we can avoid the need to recreate the wheel. Partnering with Food For The Poor will allow The Alfred Family Foundation to do much more with our resources to feed millions of hungry individuals throughout Latin America and Caribbean basin. Together, FFP will have critically needed funds to drill life-giving water wells for those who otherwise would not otherwise have clean drinking water. As partners with Food For The Poor, The Alfred Family Foundation would provide funds for lifesaving medical care; builds homes for families without adequate shelter; provides skills training and micro-enterprise opportunities that enable the poor to work; and gives children an education that will enable them to break free from the cycle of poverty that has ensnared generations.

The Alfred Family Foundation’s “Caribbean Race 4 A Cure” will provide a unique venue for cross promotion and outreach for Food For The Poor. Every three months the foundation will fund the coordination moveable feasts of multi-venue races and fundraising events. It will be an easy task to fold into our race events the promotion of the great work completed by Food For The Poor. This will give us both greater, more efficient means to solve the needs of the poor! Specifically distributing foods complimentary and appropriate to disease treatment regiments are priorities toward our greater agenda of patient and population wellness.
