The Alfred Family Foundation undertake a ten year program to foster middle class economic development and expansion for each nation in the Western Hemisphere through a combination of land, commercial and humanitarian development programs.  The humanitarian mission will address priority areas of concern of health, education and evangelization to combat poverty, hunger and homelessness.  An academic commission of Catholic-Christian and secular universities and hospitals will work together to deliver scholarship and best practices in order to universally improve the human condition in areas to be funded.

The Alfred Family Foundation Air Ambulance, Rescue and Charter Service is TAFF’s dynamic international flagship service project. With primary deployment and Fixed Base of Operations from KFLL: Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, this is a Caribbean and Latin American focused service utilizing the medical support, personnel and licensure of our medical partners including Holy Cross Hospital and Broward Hospital Districts (utilizing Broward instead of Miami-Dade is an average savings of 40% of medical expense).

TAFF Air Ambulance, Rescue and Charter Service will operate eight subsidiary locations, which will provide air access to smaller Caribbean island locales incapable of receiving jet aircraft.  As part of The Alfred Family Foundation outreach and good will, it is planned to provide two helicopters to each Caribbean island nation. For each nation, one helicopter would be detailed to serve the needs of the local prime minister (and emergency needs as necessary) and the second helicopter would be detailed for medical transport and charter services.   We will provide financial support for medical missions through a special Mass Civilian Evacuation program devised by the US State Department.  Through this program the US Air Force would provide planes and pilots for Mass Civilian disaster relief and evacuation; while our foundation would finance disaster relief resources, mobile medical bays and medical personnel.

Directly addressing the suffering of cancer and diabetes patients is a foremost priority of The Alfred Family Foundation.  We are prepared to directly fund a life and cost savings pilot program of the Mexican Government Social Security Department to end the need for diabetic amputations through the use of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO-T).  Mexican diabetic amputees receive a $14,000 annual lifetime disability benefit.  Annual medical expense cost savings from this program will very early net hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings. The pilot program has the interest and support of CARPHA:  Caribbean Public Health Agency and CARICOM: Caribbean Community Heads of Government (20 nations’ population: 17,064,000).  The program will be monitored and studied by Caribbean and Latin American nations for implementation as soon as equipment may be received.  The pilot program requires two HBO chambers, each weighing 2,850 pounds at an estimated combined cost of $400,000.  The Alfred Family Foundation looks forward to collaborating with the US Military Southern Command’s Public-Private Partnership Business Directorate for the delivery of these chambers, as well as, other goods and heavy equipment necessary to the middle class nation building initiatives of this program.

The Land Services Development component of this program will provide industrial and construction base support in-line with best practices of respective industries. These services will directly facilitate the construction of new alternative energy sources; including specially designed windmill arrays, advanced solar and traffic-produced kinetic energy collection technologies.  Ultimate construction projects will result in new mass transit systems and highways.

Food shortages and nutritional needs will be addressed through Agriculture and Fisheries Development.  Special organically based farms for agriculture and fisheries will be developed in accordance with best practices to deliver wholesome foods to needy populations.  The Alfred Family Foundation will directly fund and work collaboratively with Food for the Poor and local food banks to combat poverty and hunger.

Pastoral and evangelization programs will provide select Church debt relief and provide support for construction of Christian retreat centers with a 500 person capacity.  These facilities will be designed to double as remote disaster relief centers; with helicopter landing array suitable for medical triage and material cargo receipt.

Job creation and economic development are long term priorities for The Alfred Family Foundation in each country to receive funding. There will be great number of jobs created or sustained via this proposal.  Health and medical funding for hospitals & medical centers, practitioners, scholarships, and medicines are available so as to alleviate suffering and improve quality of life.

Long range program objectives include development of a comprehensive African Mission.  Working collaboratively with faith based and secular institutions from Ireland, The Alfred and Rhino Family Trusts will work to bring real economic change to Africa.
